This project involves the upgrading of the Khalanga–Khar–Dethala–Paribagar–Khandeshori Road, specifically the Khalanga–Naugad section. The work focuses on improving the road’s structural capacity, alignment, and surface quality to ensure safe, reliable, and all-weather connectivity for local communities.
The upgrading works include earthwork for road formation, including cutting, filling, leveling, and compaction to achieve the designed road profile and gradient. Pavement strengthening is carried out through the placement of granular sub-base and base layers, gravelling, and surface finishing to provide a durable and stable road surface. Cross-drainage and side drainage structures, including culverts and minor protective works, are constructed to prevent waterlogging, erosion, and road damage. Where necessary, retaining walls, breast walls, and slope stabilization measures are implemented to enhance road safety and structural stability.
