This project involves the construction of a three-cell Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) culvert over Kaji Nadi at Shahidnagar (Yadukoha) in Dhanusha District. The culvert is designed to provide a safe and durable cross-drainage structure that allows uninterrupted flow of water beneath the roadway while maintaining road connectivity throughout the year.
The scope of work includes site clearance, diversion of water if required, excavation for foundation, and construction of RCC foundation and base slab. Side walls and intermediate walls are cast to form three separate waterway cells, followed by construction of the RCC top slab. Headwalls, wing walls, aprons, and protection works are also constructed to prevent scouring and erosion around the structure.
Backfilling, compaction, curing of concrete, and finishing works are carried out to ensure structural strength, durability, and long-term performance. The project aims to improve drainage capacity, prevent flooding and road damage, and enhance safe transportation in the Shahidnagar–Yadukoha area of Dhanusha District.
