This project involves the upgrading of the Bharatpur–Madi–Thori (Hulaki) road to improve its structural capacity, riding quality, and all-weather usability. The works include improvement of existing road geometry, strengthening of the pavement structure, enhancement of drainage systems, and construction of necessary protective and safety structures.
The upgrading activities generally comprise earthwork for widening and formation improvement, pavement layers construction or strengthening, installation of cross-drainage and side drainage structures, and construction of retaining, breast, and protection works where required. Road furniture such as signs, markings, and safety barriers are also provided to enhance traffic safety.
